Yes, it is official! I survived freshman year! Honestly, this was one of the hardest years I have encountered. Being in a new school without knowing anyone was extremely difficult. I had to deal with annoying people, obsessive amounts of work, a change in friends, and the changing of myself.
It is weird knowing how much I have changed from the start of this year. In the beginning, I was weak and desperate for people to like me. Now, I am strong and do not care if you absolutely hate me. I stopped listening to the absurd rumors jealous girls spread. I stopped trying to fit in with the wrong crowd for me. I stopped obsessing over being in a relationship. And I stopped forcing myself to not let go of things.
This year I learned to do what is best for me. The funny thing about life is that everyone will leave eventually. Whether it be a hiatus or a finale, people come and go. Also, people are not always going to stay loyal to you. You can only fully trust yourself. I am so proud of myself for never giving in to any form of peer pressure and staying who I am morally-wise
I realized that I cannot keep holding myself back for others. I have to conquer my dreams with full force and without doubt. I have to do whatever it takes to be a writer. Writing is something I have always loved but never did anything to fully succeed in it and that was a horrendous mistake.
This year, I met many incredible people. People who have helped me change. These people have become my closest friends. Yes, we fight but we love each other. We care for each other so much, that sometimes it leads to problems. In the end, I can always count on these people to help through every aspect of my life. One of those people is leaving. Kyle is Taylor's twin brother (Taylor is the second most known person on my blog) and I have become very close with both of them. Sadly, Kyle is leaving our school. Kyle is an amazing, hilarious, generous, nice, and loyal friend and we will all miss him next year. I have only known him for a year, but here is my top five Kyle moments:
5.) When Kyle put laundry crystals in his mouth. (He is okay, he did not swallow them.)
4.) Kyle walking the completely wrong way of the mall just to make sure I got to the other side okay. (Keep in mind it was closing time and they locked the mall once he went to my side of the mall.)
3.) When we all went to a random restaurant after we won our swim meet.
2.) When Kyle attempted to join the swim team, even though he never actually swam at practice.
1.) When me and Kyle stayed after school everyday before performing arts.

Overall, this year was a bittersweet school year. I cannot wait to see what lies ahead for my high school experience. Thank you for everyone who made this school year amazing!
