This question is both simple and complexed. There are many reasons in one ginormous reason. Asking someone why they started a hobby they are extremely passionate about is as hard to answer as why you chose the life you chose. Truth is, becoming a blogger was a decision based of various events in my life.
I've always know that I loved writing. Not only do I enjoy it but am good at it! Ever since I was little I have been drawn to the idea of creating something bigger than yourself. As a child, my hobbies included writing short stories and songs, and imagining myself in my favorite TV shows (mostly Grey’s Anatomy). It wasn't until I was nine when I fully enjoyed reading. Before I was nine, I never read anything incredible enough to get me hooked on reading. Sure, I was a fan of various big series, but not enough to really divulge myself in literature. It wasn't until I read my first Young Adult novel that I knew that writing and reviewing books would become a part of me. I have an extreme love of the young adult genre and that is how I became a mostly young adult reviewer.
The way I found out that I was a good writer was when I had started winning prizes for my writing pieces. Most of my writing pieces at that time where based on the hard ships I had faced throughout junior high and how just because someone is a bully by definition, doesn't mean they aren't as bad. A massive amount of what I wrote was from the two-faced friends I had at that time and rumors that came with them. I found that writing was a therapy to the sadness I faced in junior high, and the fact that someone actually enjoyed my work made me love it more.
Finally, the reason I wanted to start my blog was because of a blog on Instagram. I honestly forget the girl’s Instagram name, but the blog was based on traveling. I remember looking at her photos and interesting stories while thinking that I should be doing this as well! Everything about her blog was exciting! She was living this incredible life that people actually cared about! Not only cared, but constantly viewed her account to see more of it. The moment I saw her account, I knew that I wanted to do the same thing but with books!
